Mohammad Siami, PhD

Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems

About me

I recently defended my PhD in the field of computer vision and intelligent systems at Wroclaw university of science and technology. In 2021, I was recognized as the distinguished early-stage researcher and awarded the Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship by the European Union to pursue my PhD studies under support of the European Training Network on Monitoring Large-Scale Complex Systems (MOIRA) program.

My published research has revolved around the development of lightweight deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) and generative adversarial network
(GAN) models for computer vision applications. In this direction, I have developed and studied different state-of-the-art deep learning models, including U-NET-based and fusion-based DCNN architectures, for performing different image processing tasks, including object segmentation and classification. I also worked on the DCNN models for classification and visualization of high-dimensional data through my PhD studies.
